From the words of our friend Emmett, “everything is awesome!”
For me, I like to say “every day is a reason to celebrate!” Especially if you’re going to LEGOLAND® California!
First, I’m excited to share I am officially part of the LEGOLAND® Blogger Program. As a part of the blogger program, I’ll be able to share all the new and exciting developments at LEGOLAND® California parks with you. So stay tuned.
On our recent trip, we celebrated The Little Man’s 4th birthday! Back in January, before we were official, we also came to celebrate Pinky’s 7th birthday.
In honor of the little people in my life. I’d like to share 5 reasons why we love celebrating at LEGOLAND® California. Ready?
Why We Love Celebrating at LEGOLAND® California
LEGOS®. Okay, I know this is a no-brainer, but my kids absolutely love LEGOS®. It’s the one activity I can leave them alone with for a couple hours other than the TV.
Seeing different worlds and characters come to life in the form of gigantic LEGO® pieces is pretty mind blowing, even for me, and I’m a full grown adult.
Pinky always asks, “how many LEGOS® did it take to build that?!” Honey, I’m thinking the same thing.
If you visit, Miniland, The Heart of LEGOLAND® California, some displays will share how many man-hours it took to build and how many LEGOS® it took to build it. Very cool!
The Star Wars display is a family favorite.
LEGO® Mini-Figure Trading. Pinky is a bit obsessed these days with LEGO® Mini-Figures! She built our whole family in the first photo above. You can imagine how excited she was when I told her she could trade her figures at the park.
Bring your Mini-Figures and stop at any store or information booth and trade with staff on the spot. The only rule is you can’t trade with ride operators. Let’s make sure they keep the rides safe and moving along, okay? You can even trade your figures in the LEGOLAND® Hotel lobby!
The Rides are Fun for the Whole Family. I’m a pretty competitive gamer when I actually play! Without a doubt, Ninjago is our family’s favorite ride. It was the first ride we hit up after entering the park.
We love it because we can enjoy it together. The wait line is entertaining and the ride is basically a giant 3-D video game. It keeps score and everything. By the way, Pinky always gets the highest score. One day, I’ll beat her.
All the rides at the park are safe and kid-friendly. They’re really all for kids, even the kids-at-heart. We love that there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
At Fun Town kids can act like adults, drive cars and even get their own driver’s license. I almost died. But it’s so cute. There are two tracks, one for Junior Drivers ages 3-5 and one for kids 6-12! Thanks for keeping the roads safe LEGOLAND®.
The Food is Fresh! And not to mention there are many options to meet a variety of dietary needs, including gluten free. Download a dietary guide here. We love that they also support local farmers and businesses.
To celebrate we opted for this awesome meal deal at Pizza Mania in Imagination Zone. It was more than enough to feed our hungry family and very affordable.
We were even able to order Daddy a garden pizza since he’s transitioning to a vegetarian diet. He was so happy they had something other than just cheese!
If pizza’s not your jam, they’ve got a done of fresh dining options for you. Feeling like like ramen? Head to LEGO® FRIENDS HEARTLAKE CITY. Feenin’ for some BBQ take a walk to Knight’s Smokehouse BBQ. The possibilities are endless.
Birthdays are Better at LEGOLAND® California. The last reason is more like 3-in-1! We love celebrating at LEGOLAND® California because it’s so close to home, it’s not that big of a park but is still packed with fun, and they give really cool birthday pins!
It really is the simple things in life that matter. Yes, every day should be celebrated but birthdays are something special. I want my kids to be and feel celebrated. It’s a part of teaching them that they’re valuable and have a purpose for being on this Earth. It’s so sweet when a stranger says, “Hey, happy birthday!” because they spot your Happy Birthday pin.
Because the park is close to home and the park isn’t too big, parents remain happy. No grumpy passengers, at least not for too long
If it’s not your birthday when you visit, you can still get cool pins that say, “First Visit,” “First Roller Coaster,” or “Ninjago in Traning!”
Have fun and collect them all!
So there you have it, everyone, 5 awesome reasons we love to celebrate at LEGOLAND® California.

Thanks, Jenn! I appreciate it. Working on my photo skills and loving the portrait feature on my iPhone 7. Yes, I love that it’s only 20 minutes away. Can’t wait to finally stay at the hotel.
