“It is admirable for a man to take his son fishing, but there is a special place in heaven for the father who takes his daughter shopping.” – John Sinor
I admit, it wasn’t actually shopping at the mall but close.
It was comic book hunting at our local comic book store.
This past weekend I took pinky to Southern California Comics for the first time and it was epic.
It was my first time at the shop also and the shop took me back to when I was a kid riding my bike to my local comic book shop.
From the familiar smells to the countless bins and this shop even had it’s own coffee shop in the back.
It’s a perfect place to spend all day in.
In fact, pinky mentioned this to me, “Daddy, we’re in trouble.”
Daddy, “What do you mean?”
Pinky, “This place, we can spend the entire day and spend a lot of money!”
It was a proud moment for me.
That’s exactly how I felt going to my first comic book shop.
We picked out a lot of good comics that day.
I’m glad that we can share this time together.
Now, pinky is looking forward to our next comic book hunting at the shop.
For the fathers out there, where do you take your daughters to spend time.
