Oh. My. Goodness!
LEGOLAND® is looking for about 200 awesome people to join their team.
Who wouldn’t want to work at an amusement park where you could build and trade LEGOS all day, be surrounded by pure happiness, apple fries and some of the funnest rides on the west coast.
Okay, so maybe I’m not in the market for a new job, and I’m sure there are a lot of cool peeps who are. If you’re interested, or interested in getting your kid to work, Spring Break recruitment is happening right now.
With the LEGOLAND® Castle Hotel set to open in April 2018, and all of San Diego wanting to cool off at LEGOLAND® Water Park when the sun decides to return you, better believe they’ll need some Model Citizens a.k.a. employees.
Specifically, LEGOLAND® is searching for Lifeguards. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! They will train you in CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen Administration. That’s free on-the-job-training people.
They’re also looking to fill 30 leadership positions including Food and Beverage Manager, Restaurant & Bar Manager, Front Office Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Head Chef and more. Supervisor positions are also available such as Front Desk Agents, Housekeeping, Bell/Valet, Bartender, Server, Busser, Host, Steward and Cook.
Even when it comes to careers, LEGOLAND® has something for the whole family 🙂
5 Reasons Why Working at LEGOLAND® California Would be Awesome
But that’s not all that inspired me to write this post. I thought it would be fun to share a few reasons why it would be fun to actually work at LEGOLAND® California! Ready? Here we go…
- Everyone is considered a Model Citizen and your number one goal is to celebrate ‘the love of fun’ every day in creating memorable experiences for guests. Can you imagine? You’re job is to love fun and help other people have the best experience at at a place that is already super cool! If you ask me, it makes anyone’s job there pretty darn easy. Not that I mind any hard work. I truly believe we should put our best foot forward and work hard in everything we do.
- There’s so much opportunity for growth. LEGOLAND is an advocate for employee training and promoting internally. You might come in as a Lifeguard, or an engraver and eventually move up to become a supervisor, manager, or find a completely different path. The park operates under Merlin Entertainment and is the leading name in location-based, family entertainment. What does that mean? They aren’t going anywhere, but with a presence in 23 countries over 4 continents you sure can if you wanted too. Wouldn’t it be fun to travel to LEGOLAND Florida?
- Free tickets! Yes, I said it. And I checked to make sure this is true. It’s in the FAQ section and on the benefits page. Per the website, “All employees are eligible to receive a Merlin Magic Pass following six weeks of employment, granting you and your guests free admission to any Merlin attraction worldwide. Additionally, Model Citizens enjoy a 30% discount at our Retail and Food & Beverage outlets within LEGOLAND…You’ll never be so popular.”
- Tuition Assistance. Wow! With a little exploring I found that LEGOLAND offers tuition assistance for full time Model Citizens. Not a lot of companies do this anymore, so I was very happy to see they offered this. It’s not clear on the exact requirements. I’m sure it’s a great program, and will help steer those who take advantage of it in the right direction.
- Everything is Awesome! I couldn’t resist. From the outside looking in and having experienced LEGOLAND as a guest, I bet it would also be a blast to work there. Model Citizens and their families get access to exclusive events. You can tell they take care of their people. The environment is already so fun and friendly, it would be hard not to have fun working there.
