I recently attended a fun and informative blogger event with Rady’s Children’s Hospital, Children’s Primary Medical Group sponsored by Jimbo’s Naturally. Thanks to my friend and fellow blogger Danielle of Simmworks Family Blog for the invite.
In honor of National Sleep Awareness Week, the talk was focused on sleep tips for children of all ages. In addition to all the great tips we received Jimbo’s demoed a Peppermint Coffee Sugar Scrub inspired by one of Danielle’s recipes. It smelled divine.
We also got to make our own Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub to take home made with all natural ingredients that could be found at Jimbo’s. Making the scrub was so fun and simple I had to share the recipe with you. What a fun moms night in activity this would make. It would also make a nice and affordable giveaway for a bridal shower or even a gift. Give it a try! Let me know what you think in the comments below.
If you make your own scrubs, please share your recipes with us too.
Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub
Ingredients:
1/2 cups organic sugar
1 tbsp sea salt
1/8 cup organic coconut oil [side note: they used Dr. Bronner’s brand and I was so good]
1/8 cup almond oil
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 drops peppermint essential oil
3 drops Vtamin E oil [optional, but good for the skin]
Directions:
In a media mixing bowl, add the sugar and sea salt
Add the remaining ingredients and mix with a fork until well incorporated
Transfer to an air tight container (mason jar or Tupperware will do)
Enjoy in the shower or while soaking in the tub
You can store this Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub up to 6 months
ENJOY!
