Those Date Night posts really paid off! I’m so excited to share with you that I am the official San Diego Date Night Examiner! I was so excited when I received the email notifying me of this news. I’ve always enjoyed writing, and blogging has opened so many opportunities for me to do what I love. What’s even more exciting is that I’m writing about things I’m actually passionate about!
Date Night has personally played a huge part in making mine and Daddy’s marriage work. I strongly believe that a regularly scheduled date night with your spouse is so crucial to a happy marriage. Whether it’s a cup of coffee, a dinner date or a full blown vacation getaway, dating is still important, if not more important after marriage. It’s even more important once you add a child to the equation! Not to mention, it’s a lot more challenging too.
Communication has also always been a very important key factor in our relationship. Date night is a perfect time to communicate with one another about hopes, dreams, and yes even worries and finances. Although I recommend saving this time to enjoy one another’s company as you did when you were “dating”! Date Night has taken on a whole new adventure for me and Daddy and I look forward to sharing it with you here and on the San Diego Examiner. Please take a look at my column and feel free to share your Date Night experiences, favorite spots, etc. I’d be happy to share them in a future article!
Thank you to everyone who comes to read The Pinky Project. I am so grateful for your interest and loyalty! I’d like to extend a special thank you to Joann Woolley of Sign4Baby for giving me the idea to apply to the San Diego Examiner under the Date Night Topic! Finally, thank you to Daddy for always encouraging me and supporting me in everything I do…I love you and Pinky both so much! Okay, I’ll stop now…it’s not like I’m receiving an Oscar Award, LOL!
