Our final day visit to the fair was on Thursday, June 23rd! We’d go again, but we have a few other plans lined up, especially for the weekend of the 4th! BUT, there’s still time for you and the family to Race to the Fair if you have yet to do so. Remember, the last day is Monday, July 4th and they will be hosting a spectacular fireworks event!
So, once again, thanks to San Diego Bargain Mama on behalf of the San Diego County Fair, we had our double dose of the fair last week. Click here to read about Wednesday, Round 1!
This time, Daddy didn’t accompany us. However, we did have the pleasure of going to the fair with Lolo, Auntie Jojo, Uncle Abe and cousin Aari! As an added bonus, we got to see a lot of old friends and family whom we haven’t seen in a very long time. Not to mention a few local celebs (Chef Larry), cute babies, a matron of honor and few old high school pals! It was nice to catch up with them while watching some of them perform on the Showcase Stage. Here are the highlights of our final fair visit!
The kids eager with anticipation to enter the fairgrounds.
One of my good friends Joey Casora and his band played an amazing set, covering some of my personal favorite songs from Blackstreet, Michael Jackson and of course some of their own original material. I love this band, and their families!
Pinky loved dancing and running all over the dance floor with cousin Aari! It was such a joy to watch her move, smile, laugh and run back to me in excitement. This time she didn’t run on stage, phew!
Pinky getting her first kiss at the fair! Uh oh…Daddy, where are you?
Pinky pushing her six year old cousin in her stroller…
Pinky playing with her light up sword, copying Daddy’s Arnis moves. She’s never been happier! It’s amazing how much kids learn just by watching.
As you can see, the San Diego County Fair is so much more than just fried food, games, rides, and entertainment. It truly is a place of fellowship and a place where people meet, fall in love, enjoy their families, make memories and so on! We really hope the San Diego County Fair is here to stay because we look forward to making more memories as a family in the future!
Hurry, and Race to the Fair to meet your friends, enjoy your family, make some memories, or even find true love! Til next year!
