Before I had Pinky I’d ask other mothers how old their babies were and they’d give me some crazy answer like, 16 months, 22 months, or 24 months! I didn’t get it then, but I get it now. I am so proud to tell people just how many MONTHs my baby girl is! Here’s my theory, between the ages of 0 and 3 babies grow at exponential rates and it’s never enough to say your child is simply a year old because they are advancing so much more after that one year mark. So much it’s essential to celebrate or at least take note of it every month, sometimes every week. Infants reach so many milestones over a short period of time. I have said it before and I’ll say it again, Pinky is growing so fast that I can hardly keep up with her. Being the record keeping nostalgic mother that I want to be, it’s hard. I have a basket full of things I want to document. Empty pages and blank spaces in memory books because life happens so fast! Minutes to hours, hours to days, days to weeks and weeks to months…as we go about our business in little steps and strides, the year is over and a new one is beginning before we know it! This is just how our babies grow, too fast for comfort. Enjoy it, embrace it, while it lasts! I know I am!
On Monday, March 14th, our pinky turned 14 months old. She is a walking/running, talking, signing, babbling, bubble blowing, 4 more teeth growing, fun-loving, animal loving, smart, beautiful, curious, energetic, always waving and smiling to people friendly little girl! And she’s mine, she’s ours, and we give her life to the Lord! I pray everyday that God will protect her and guide us to be the best parents we can be for her. Being Pinky’s mother has brought so much joy to my heart!
I love you Pinky! I’m so proud of everything you do! You’re going to grow up to be just the way God intended you to! And that’s the best thing I can pray for!

I second everything my wife wrote about. Have a joyous 14 months Pinky, we both enjoy watching you grow.
