…Just like Margarito! Tonight, the world witnessed yet another amazing win for Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, as he won yet another title match. Meanwhile, Pinky knocked out in my arms, way before Pacquiao knocked out Margarito. At least she got to watch the three National Anthems representing all three of her cultural backgrounds. She even watched Nelly perform while dancing her happy dance! I must say, all three national anthem performances were quite entertaining. And my are those Dallas Cowgirls talented. I will admit the whole family was a bit skeptical when they were called up to sing, however they blew me away with their melody and their harmony. Great job girls! I’m still confused as to why they chose Nelly to perform. Oh well! After the first three rounds Pinky was tired of all the yelling and screaming so I took her to a quiet place and she fell asleep.
As Pinky sleeps, many will celebrate the great fight, and for Pacquiao Fans the great victory. I may not be an avid boxing fan, however, I have a lot of respect for Pacquaio. From the way he composes himself in and out of the ring, for the fact that he shows respect to his opponents, for the fact that he is not afraid to kneel down and pray before each fight in front of millions of people, for the fact that he is using his fame to make a difference for his people as a political figure in his country. From what I can see, he represents the definition of a true role model. He has come a long way and is now one of the highest paid athletes in the world. If you have a chance, read his rags to riches story and find out for yourself.
Congrats on another win, Manny, the Thrilla’ from Manilla! Still the #1 Pound for Pound Boxing Champion in the World, and more!
