I’ve always loved scrapbooking! At one point in my career I was a Creative Memories Consultant. I have always enjoyed taking photos, printing them, and strategically and creatively displaying them on a page with pretty designs and stories. I love documenting my memories. It makes me feel like I have something to look back on when I’m older, something I can share for generations to come. I only wish I journaled more often and took more creative risks in my designs. I think those will be my new personal goals as soon as I can find time to implement them.
The digital age has changed everything, including crafting and the arts. Because I take so many pictures and have not had time, or money to develop them all, I thought why not venture into digital scrapbooking. I am a big fan of Ali Edwards’ modern and simplistic digital designs. I made my first digital accent purchase a few weeks ago through DesignerDigitals and began catching up on some projects using PhotoShop CS4, some photos from Mother’s Day and Father’s Day and of course Ali Edwards Title Journal Blocks. I love the journal blocks because of their clean and simple design; and because they offer an adequate space to write the story my photos tell.
Here are my two first official digital projects documenting our First Mother’s Day and Father’s Day with Pinky! Two very special moments in our lives as parents. Enjoy!
p.s. I was so happy to learn that Costco prints 12×12 photos!!!
