I must have watched The Wizard of Oz a thousand times as a kid. It was one of those magical movies that stole my heart. It’s no wonder that the exit song for our wedding ceremony was “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”
I love watching this classic movie with my family. Including all the interesting remakes, you know like The Wiz with Michael Jackson, The Return of Oz and more recently The Legends of Oz. Now, for the first time, my family will be watching Dorothy and her friends find follow the yellow brick road on Broadway!
Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this production contains the beloved songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber. My favorite person from the wizard of Oz is the lion. I love his personality and how he talks and I don’t knkw why but he reminds me of my grandfather.
