Have you ever wondered what the people behind their twitter were like in real life? Well, that’s what tweetups are for! It’s so exciting to meet people that you’ve been connecting with on twitter in real life. Last night I met some amazing people, or shall I say tweeps at the San Diego Family Expo and San Diego Bargain Mama Tweetup at Apollonia Greek Bistro.
Everyone was greeted with a pair of Dearfoam Slippers, a goody bag and warm welcome by a wonderful host! This tweetup had a stack of interesting and intriguing raffle prizes from some amazing local sponsors, DateNight411, Sign4Baby and Legoland just to name a few. Apollonia was a fantastic venue. I had driven by several times before and this was my first time in. Daddy and I will definitely be checking it out for a future date night!
As one of my fellow tweeps and mom bloggers put it, “I’m so giddy” to see all of these people (@MommyCanRun, it was such a pleasure meeting you in real life). It was fun meeting new people and discussing everyone’s projects, programs and opportunities to collaborate! I’ve been to a fair share of networking meetings and personally, I believe tweetups/meetups are by far much more fun, much more inspiring, and much more beneficial!
Please enjoy these photos from the San Diego Family Expo and San Diego Bargain Mama tweetup. My apologies for those of you I did not get to meet personally and therefore was not able to include your twitter handle. Please help me out and add it if it’s missing. And, be sure follow the amazing tweeps pictured for resources from everything under the sun!
